About Fretless Fretless is a laid back collection of self-penned, contemporary and traditional songs with a clean, uncluttered, intimate feel. The eleven tracks are heavily embedded within the partnership of Emily's outstanding guitar playing and expressive voice. Other musicians joining Emily in making Fretless include Phil Beer - fiddle, slide guitar; Mike Silver - vocals; Maartin Allcock - bass, mandocello, bouzar; Kellie While - vocals; Kathryn Roberts - vocals; James O'Grady - pipe and whistles; Clive Carroll - banjo; and Gavin Backhouse - piano. Early reviews are heralding this as an assured, mature album in which Emily comes into her own as a songwriter. |
